SMO plan: real visibility on your social media

Scope set with an advisor

The SMO plan takes care of your social media from start to finish: the strategy, the videos and visuals, copy written for each network, the calendar, posting and tracking what works. The goal isn’t to pile up views and likes, but to earn what actually moves an account forward: watch time, comments, saves and shares.

  • One guide per network
  • Nothing goes out without your yes
  • Beyond views and likes

01 · The needs

What is SMO, and what is it for?

SMO, short for Social Media Optimization, is the organic work on social media: a profile that inspires trust, content designed for each network and a community that responds. It’s the unpaid side of social media marketing. You can’t buy it with ads: you build it, one post at a time.

For a business, social networks do three things: get discovered by people who don’t know it yet, reassure the ones who come to check whether it’s serious, and stay on clients’ minds until the day they need it.

Plenty of agencies deliver beautiful videos, then stop there. A beautiful video nobody watches to the end builds nothing. The SMO plan delivers beautiful videos, and everything that makes them work: the hook, the description, the right format for each network, a profile that turns a visit into a contact, and tracking what works.

The SMO plan is chosen to suit your needs, alongside the Executive plan. The Serafex offers and plans separate each offer and what it includes.

What this plan covers

Scope set with an advisor

  • A strategy for your networks: positioning, four content pillars and an optimized profile on each network.
  • Videos, photos, carousels and stories, with the hook and description written for each network.
  • An editorial calendar and posting on your accounts, after your approval.
  • Tracking the signals that matter: watch time, comments, saves and shares.

02 · The scope

Every network has its own logic, and your content follows it

  1. The same video posted as-is everywhere misses its target. Our SMO system follows a separate production guide for each network: it chooses the hook, the description, the length, the keywords and hashtags, and the call to action based on how people watch content there.

  2. TikTok, to get discovered. Videos are shown to strangers before your own followers: every post is a first impression. The hook has to set up the stakes in the first few seconds, and watch time matters more than the view count.

  3. Instagram, your showcase. People often come on purpose, to check whether the business is serious before acting. The profile works like a small landing page, and the right content is the kind people save or share to their story, not just the kind they like.

  4. Facebook, your public credibility. It’s often where a client checks that the business is real before calling. A share carries a lot of weight there: someone found your content useful enough to put it in their own feed.

  5. LinkedIn, where decisions take shape. Buyers, partners and future employees read there. A real, well-developed idea holds attention, and the time spent reading is one of the signals LinkedIn rewards.

  6. X, thinking in real time. The first line often shows on its own, before “Show more”: it has to earn the click, or stand on its own.

  7. One shoot can feed several networks. We keep what carries from one network to the next and adapt the rest, network by network, instead of copy-pasting the same post everywhere.

03 · Preparation

From your brand foundations to this week’s posts

It all starts with a foundations file, prepared with you and approved before production: what sets your business apart, the audience you’re after, four clearly distinct content pillars and what your brand never says. It also includes an optimized profile for each network, with the bio, pinned posts and cover images, and a four-week video plan.

Then, every week, the system prepares a coordinated set: videos, photos and carousels, Instagram stories, Facebook posts, LinkedIn and X posts, in the agreed volumes. Our image and video studios produce the visuals, and the copy is reviewed for language before it’s shown to you.

Nothing is made up: no fake testimonial, no imagined result. The videos combine real footage of your business with compositions edited by our studio, in the split agreed with you.

  1. Build your brand foundations and profiles with you.

  2. Approve the foundations file and the calendar.

  3. Receive content adapted to each network, every week.

  4. Publish after your approval, then measure and adjust.

What to provide to get started

  • The networks you’re on, or want to be on, and the audience you’re after.
  • The facts about your services, and the photos and videos you can use.
  • The person who reviews and approves posts.

04 · In the platform

Your social media, in the Workspace

In the app, the Social space will keep your social media in the same place as the rest of your business, with Seraf to help you keep the pace. It’s being prepared, and its details will take shape as it’s built.

The SMO plan doesn’t wait for that space: it’s already prepared with an advisor. The login page shows the spaces open to your account.

Your questions about the SMO plan

SerafOnline

What exactly is SMO?

Social Media Optimization: the organic work on your social media, from the profile to the content and the conversations with your community. It differs from paid advertising, which buys reach.

Why aim for watch time rather than views?

A view counts after the first few seconds: it doesn’t tell you whether the video interested anyone. Watch time, comments, saves and shares show that content was useful. Those are the signals we track, network by network.

Will my videos be the same on every network?

No. One shoot can serve several networks, but the hook, format, length and description change for each one. When a post needs its own version, it’s produced for that network.

What happens with comments?

The system sorts incoming comments and drafts replies you can review. What can be done depends on each network’s permissions.

What needs approval before a post goes out?

The exact content, the target account, the usage rights for the images and the posting date. Preparing, scheduling and publishing remain three separate steps: nothing goes out without your approval.

What is the foundations file?

The starting point, prepared with you and approved before production: what sets your business apart, the target audience, four clearly distinct content pillars, what your brand never says and an optimized profile for each network.

Do we have to supply our own videos?

Not all of them. The videos combine real footage of your business and compositions edited by our studio, according to the split agreed with you. Our image and video studios produce the visuals.

How do I know what my SMO plan includes?

Networks, formats, quantities and frequency are set with your advisor, based on your goals. Those volumes then guide each week’s production.

What the SMO plan doesn’t include

Per scopeWith an advisor

Scope set with an advisor

  • Organic presence
  • No posting without approval
  • No fake engagement
See the Social space →
  • Paid advertising. No ad buying, no sponsored campaigns and no paid “boosted” posts. The plan builds your organic presence: what your content earns on its own.

  • Your private messages. The system doesn’t reply privately on your behalf. When an exchange calls for personal details, the suggested reply invites the person to continue in private, and that conversation is yours.

  • Sensitive comments. A legal, financial, health, safety, employment, refund or personal-data question, a threat or a crisis is never treated as an ordinary comment. It’s flagged to you, and the reply is yours.

  • Other networks. The plan works on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and X, depending on the networks agreed with your advisor. YouTube, Pinterest, Snapchat and Threads aren’t part of it: our system has no production guide for them.

  • Influencers and sponsorships. Finding, paying or managing influencers, content creators or paid partnerships isn’t part of the plan.

  • More than what’s agreed. The networks, volumes and frequency are those of your plan. Adding a network or posts goes through a plan change request with your advisor: no purchase or change happens online.

  • An account you haven’t connected. Posting and replies to comments go through the accounts you connect, and depend on each network’s permissions.

  • Other plans’ work. Your website, its search visibility and its hosting come with their own plan.

  • Guaranteed results. No number of followers, views or sales is guaranteed. We track your accounts’ real signals and adjust one element at a time, compared with your starting results.

What we refuse, for every client: buying followers, views, likes or comments, getting fake accounts or bots to react, organizing like exchanges, having your employees react on command, making up a testimonial or a result. A fake follower doesn’t watch your videos or comment: it lowers the share of your audience that reacts and muddles your measurements. Social networks also forbid these practices in their rules.
